What is ISI & BIS Certification ?
BIS operates the ISI mark certification scheme under Scheme-I of Schedule II as outlined in the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulation, 2018 which comes under BIS Act, 2016. Through this scheme, BIS grants licences to manufacturers, giving them the right to use or apply the ISI Standard Mark on products manufactured in their plants. To qualify, products must fully conform to the requirements specified in the relevant Indian Standards.
