Understanding \”Hosting Mode is Off\” in QuickBooks
When hosting mode is off in QuickBooks, multi-user access is disabled, allowing only the local user to open the company file. This prevents network sharing. To enable access for other users, you must turn hosting mode on through the File menu in QuickBooks Desktop settings.
