A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that involves moving hair follicles from one part of the body (usually the back or sides of the scalp) to thinning or bald areas. This procedure is commonly used to treat male pattern baldness, but it can also be used to restore eyelashes, eyebrows, and beard hair. The two main techniques are Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). FUT involves removing a strip of scalp and dissecting it into individual grafts, while FUE involves extracting individual follicles directly from the scalp. The transplanted hair grows naturally and permanently in its new location.
