Eligibility for getting 12a certificate
An organization intending to enjoy the benefits of a section 12a certificate should be set up as a Trust, a Society or as a Section eight Company according to the provisions of the standard. It must be charitable in all aspects like relieving the poor, education or health care. The organization should keep proper books of accounts and fulfill the regulations. Moreover, it must not conduct business activities with a profit or political motive and this is what it must be keen to stick to its charitable purpose.
