In 2020-21, a significant stride was made in the fight against child labour, with 331 children rescued from its clutches. This marked a notable increase compared to the 202 children rescued over the preceding three years. Child labour, a form of exploitation, inflicts both mental and physical harm on children, robbing them of their rightful childhood, potential, and dignity. These efforts to rescue and protect children from such exploitation are crucial steps towards ensuring a brighter and more humane future for the most vulnerable members of society.
