Super Mario Galaxy 2: a masterpiece by Nintendo

Are you a Super Mario game fan? If you believe the critics, then the new Super Mario Galaxy 2 is one of the best ever adventure of your favorite Italian plumber. Surprised? Keeping in mind the previous mind-blowing quality Super Mario games, it really seems to be an achievement on Nintendo’s part. IGN gave the perfect 10 rating to Super Mario Galaxy 2. This is IGN’s first 10/10 for any game since 2008′s Metal Gear Solid 4.
Critics at IGN are highly impressed with the game’s structure. However, they pointed out that this game is very challenging as compared to Super Mario Galaxy 1. It will require very best efforts on the user’s part to make it to the end of the game.
Some other game critics don’t agree with IGN’s verdict on Super Mario Galaxy 2. Giant Bomb’s Ryan Davis is of the view that this game is not much more complex or difficult than the first. Giant Bomb also gives a five out of five star perfect rating to the game.
1UP also rated the game highly, giving it an A. accordignt to their review, Super Mario Galaxy 2 contains highest level of craftsmanship which has come from years of research, refinement, improvement and reinvention.
You will be disappointed if you try to look for a dissenting review. Even some harsh critics have given this game a full score. Super Mario Galaxy 2 currently has an aggregate score of 97 percent on Metacritic.com, just behind its previous game, Super Mario Galaxy. Its score may get better as more great reviews are in the making. Whether it beats its predecessor in terms of sales and ranking or not, it surely remains one of the finest masterpieces by Nintendo.
