Whether you are an iPad fan or not, iPad is a big hit across the country as a million copies of this magical tablet have already been sold by the end of April 2010, according to Apple’s officials. Apple claims that the sales for iPad are 250% higher than that of Apple’s iPhone when it was released back in 2007. iPhone took two months and 13 days to sell a million items, however iPad managed to cross the million mark in just 28 days.
These phenomenal sales figures account only for the American customers as iPad will not be launched internationally until end of May 2010. The date for iPad’s international debut has been delayed due to its extraordinarily high demand in the U.S. Apple is currently trying to match iPad supply with humungous local 5demand.
The 3G-embedded version of this interesting device also went on sale last Monday. Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs claimed that “demand continues to exceed supply and we’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more customers.”
Many stores are running out of 3G-embedded version of iPad as well as simple version of iPad. The magical device has been sold out surprisingly fast in many regions of the country.
